Meet Dr. John Marietta
John Marietta has been a lifelong resident of Salina. He attended Salina Public Schools and went on to graduate with honors from Kansas State University where he received Blue Key Senior Honor Society recognition.
Dental School, Honors, and Charity Work
After graduation, John attended Creighton University School of Dentistry where he received his dental degree (DDS). At Creighton, he received the senior dental honor recognition of OKU (Omicron Kappa Upsilon) and participated in the Institute for Latin American Concern (ILAC) program. With ILAC, he spent two months in the Dominican Republic as part of a health care team.
After graduating from Creighton, Dr. Marietta completed his residency at Denver General Hospital and has since been in private practice in Salina. He enjoys the challenge of learning about and implementing new techniques and procedures that will benefit his patients.
Community Focus and Outreach
During the summer of 2015, Dr. Marietta returned to the Dominican Republic as a mentor to Creighton ILAC students. Dr. Marietta believes in giving back to Salina and participated in numerous Kansas Missions of Mercy. He has served on the City of Salina Heritage Commission and has volunteered as a coach, scout leader, and at church.
Dr. Marietta is the proud father of 3 children.
